The Forum Town Hall Meeting

  • Build Bronzeville 5055 South Prairie Avenue Chicago, IL, 60615 United States (map)

For over 75 years, The Forum served as a center for commercial, social, political, and cultural activities for the Bronzeville community. Beginning in 1897, it functioned as one of the most significant assembly spaces on the South Side hosting politicians and local clubs and associations, while the storefronts at the first floor contributed to the commercial core along 43rd Street.

Today, The Forum is amidst a grand restoration. Since Urban Juncture purchased The Forum, we have made several improvements to stabilizing the building. In 2019 The Forum was placed on the National Register of Historic Places (Forum application). Later this year we plan to open the first retail space, which will feature a creative incubator and a cafe!

Please join us for The Forum Town Hall! We plan to provide an overview of the historic significance of Forum Hall and our vision to revive the hall. However most importantly we want to hear from you and what you imagine the 43rd Street revival to be.
