Ownership Over Everything - #legalcoffeechat

Creativity is vital—and so is protecting it. It’s so vital, the founding fathers put it in the constitution. Article 1, Section 8 of Constitution grants Congress the power to ‘promote the progress of science and useful arts, by securing for limited times to authors and inventors (read: creative folks) the exclusive right to (read: ownership of) their respective writings and discoveries.’ They made a lot of missteps when drafting the Constitution, but the founding fathers were on to something when they gave Congress the authority to enact legislation designed to protect the exclusive rights of creators.

Join Patrice Perkins of Creative Genius Law® for a complete breakdown on how Producer No I.D. + Beyoncé maintained ownership of their creative works + the strategies they used to turn their ownership into wealth + build additional opportunities for themselves.
