SANDRIA WASHINGTON | Director of Engagement & Partnerships
Sandria Washington is a proud Chicago born and raised author, copywriter, wellnesspreneur, speaker and media professional with a passion for self mastery and collective healing. As an active member of her Washington Park/Bronzeville community, Sandria currently serves as the Director of Engagement and Partnerships for Urban Juncture (Build Bronzeville). Sandria developed and leads Bronzeville Fit ( B-Fit), Urban Juncture’s community well-being initiative that provides accessible wellness programming designed to disrupt the common narratives of where wellness programs happen, who participates, and which communities deserve to “be fit”. In her role, Sandria also manages partnerships with key stakeholders like Northwestern Memorial, Chicago Bulls, Urban Growers Collective and UIC College of Pharmacy, and is a lead in securing and managing foundation, private donor and corporate funding, including grants from the MacArthur Foundation, Mellon Foundation, Coleman Foundation and DCASE.
In 2016, the National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) recognized Sandria in their inaugural class of "40 Under 40 Leaders in Health." She was also recognized in 2016 as a Chicago Defender Women of Excellence award recipient and is a member of Chicago Foundation for Women’s 2024 Willie’s Warriors Leadership Initiative cohort.
Sandria Washington is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (B.S. Advertising) and holds a Certificate in Storytelling for Social Impact through Georgetown University.
